Both Museums located in  Alsace, France are known for its preservation of design.   Both have opened their archives.

The French Wallpaper Museum dates back to 1797, with an impressive array of designs from small swatches to panoramic                                                              panels.

The Textile Museum collection dates back to 1746, it's collection is quite diversified and grand.  Whether it's a toile, chintz, challis, bouquets or themes, the collection is sure the most unique.  

The Museums are reserving the rights for the use of their designs for either two or four year with the option to renew the reservation.
